City of Knob Noster To Conduct Housing Study

Knob Noster, MO — The City of Knob Noster moved at a recent meeting of the Board of Aldermen to conduct a housing study. The study is to take an in-depth look at the current and future needs of housing in the community.

"This is another step in the ongoing work the Board of Alderman and city administration is doing to move the city forward," said Adam Morton, Mayor of the City of Knob Noster. "We are constantly looking at ways to improve our community."

The City moved in its November 17th meeting to retain the services of Goldstone Consulting Group to complete the work. The study will look at a variety of issues relating to housing in the City of Knob Noster.

"The plan is to look at our current situation when it comes to housing in the community," said Mayor Morton. "We also will gain some insight as to what our future needs may be."

The project is designed to understand what the challenges may be in developing new housing in the community. It will also look at the different types of housing that may be needed in the future.

"We want to retain and attract talent in our community," said Mayor Morton. "The best way to do this is to have available, quality housing. This will also benefit our area employers as they plan for new jobs in the future."

The housing study is a portion of the overall economic development effort in Knob Noster. The City recently reaffirmed its financial support of the Johnson County Economic Development Corporation to sustain the effort in developing new business in Knob Noster and the surrounding area.

The work by Goldstone Consulting Group is expected to take several months to complete.
